Round and Round: Improv Medallion Quilts with Maria Shell
5 Days Monday – Friday, July 28-August 1, 2025
Creating an improv medallion quilt is a super fun way to learn about improvisionally piecing within a structure. Students will learn the following things and more—how to piece improv units so that they are approximately the same size, how to do intuitive math, how to create asymmetrical symmetry, and how to create a super satisfying medallion masterpiece.
Skill level: Confident beginners
All QBL workshops begin on Monday and end on Friday. Workshops are from 8:30-4pm daily. Students check in to their dorms and move into classrooms on the Sunday before the workshop begins. There is a welcome dinner with a lecture Sunday night.
