OCCASIONAL CALLS

Curated Exhibitions

Each year the Schweinfurth Art Center curates solo or group shows based on a theme. Artists are selected from studio and gallery visits, referrals, artist websites, artist proposals on file and ongoing research. Occasionally the Art Center works with guest curators. Exhibits are planned two to three years in advance. Exhibitions are selected based on overall artistic integrity and how the subject, medium, or curatorial content fits in with annual exhibit and program plans each year. The Art Center generally does not consider exhibits based solely on membership in a club or an organization.
