2-Day Workshop with Madeline Bartley Gambacorta

Saturday – Sunday Sept. 21-Sept 22, 2024, 9am-4pm

Instructor will introduce the art of printmaking through repeated patterns. Students will learn about block printing and discover the effects of repeat patterns on fabric. Participants will focus on textile design to develop skills and explore combinations in color, line and shape. This class will cover the impact of repeat patterns to create works on fabric through block printing, handmade stencils, and simple embroidery. This practice in textile printing will encourage partakers to repurpose fabrics, upcycle garments and source recycled material to create hand painted fabric collages. Students can expect to make a range of samples that can be incorporated into garments, fiber art pieces and patches.
