Poetry & Quilts Project
The Central New York branch of the National League of American Pen Women partnered with the Schweinfurth Art Center to write short poems in response to the artworks in Quilts=Art=Quilts 2021. The resulting poems were posted, along with images of the artwork that inspired them, on our Facebook and Instagram pages throughout December 2021, as well as this website. Poetry & Prose Readings
The Schweinfurth is collaborating with the Central New York branch of the National League of American Pen Women to create written works that respond to the artwork in our annual Made in NY exhibition at 6 pm Friday, July 9, 2021. The event was taped and is available to view below.
The two groups have collaborated since 2018. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the Pen Women gathered on Zoom instead of in person at the gallery to read their ekphrastic and creative responses.
