Quarantined Studio Visits: Ann Clarke

5/11/20

Schweinfurth Art Center is taking virtual tours of artists' studios in this video series. This video, the fourth in our series, visits the Syracuse studio of Ann Clarke. Fiber artist Ann Clarke talks to Schweinfurth Art Center's Program Director Davana Robedee about her new body of work: monumental rugs inspired by the experience of caring for her mother, who has Alzhemier's Disease. Along with the day-to-day hard work of being a caregiver, Clarke also examines the interesting reality that her mother mentally inhabits, where the past mingles with the present and truth becomes irrelevant.
